Ordering from us.

Roundhouse Engineering Co. Ltd. produces Classic, Basic and Diesel series locomotives in batches of set quantities and customers wanting to place an order will be assigned a locomotive in the closest batch to the date of ordering. Once a batch is filled with orders a new batch is opened. This may mean there is a waiting time before the ordered locomotive goes into production. To find out about a locomotive availability and to place an order please contact the factory directly.

Ordering

We don't require a deposit to take your order unless the locomotive is in a non RH standard colour, however Roundhouse Engineering reserves the right to request an order deposit.

If you know what specification you would like your locomotive in you can provide it at point of order (preferred) or we will contact you closer to the time of production.

A loco specification usually includes the following:

Locomotive name
Colour
Gauge (32mm or 45mm)
Manual or Radio Control
Wheel type (Insulated or Non-Insulated) where appropriate.
Loco specific options, see individual loco pages for the more info.

Once the locomotive is completed we will contact you, usually by phone, to let you know your locomotive is finished. At this point payment details are taken and delivery organised. Payment is taken prior to the locomotive being dispatched or on collection.

We can ship around the world and prices are dependent on the locomotive

Stock Locomotives

If you are after a locomotive sooner than our production schedule allows be sure to enquire about our stock locomotives available straight off the shelf. These are limited by availability and the specifications may already be fixed.

Parts and Kits

We have a large selections of parts and kits available for purchase. Orders for these can be placed over the phone or by email. Small parts are sent out by Royal Mail and Home Builders Kits are sent out by next-day signed for courier.

UK Delivery

All locomotives (next working day by signed-for courier) - £20.00
Locomotive kits, Tenders and Track, (1 or more items) (next working day by signed-for courier) - £12.00
IOW, IOM & Northern Ireland - surcharge of £12.00 on the above prices.
All other items, £4.00 for small items, or £5.80 for larger items, towards UK postage and handling.

Overseas Shipping

All overseas shipping is now calculated at point of dispatch. Please contact us for shipping estimates.
